CyberLink PowerDVD

PowerDVD 11 - mainCyberlink PowerDVD is a pioneer program in DVD playback. The program is available in three different modes with different features. The "Ultra" mode is fully featured and offers advanced options like Blue-Ray playback. The "Deluxe" and "Standard" versions come at smaller prices, but with fewer features.

PowerDVD can play Blue-Ray disks, DIVX files, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R and other formats (high definition videos included), and it integrates seamlessly with Windows Media Center. It even supports True-Theater lighting, to automatically adjust brightness and contrast of a movie. Cinema mode is a new feature in PowerDVD which allows a user to watch movies at a distance and also supports remote control. The program's extensive features are very resource-demanding, though.

The new version of PowerDVD also supports playback of Blue-Ray disks and offers new features like True-Theater HD (which boosts up low resolution videos to higher resolutions) and True-Theater Motion which allows to increase the frame rate
