Zello

Zello is an instant messenger client. The user interface is very easy to use. If you are already familiar with other instant messengers, like Gtalk and Yahoo! Messenger, you will find no difficulty in starting to use this software right away. 

It will offer you to create a free account or to provide your username and password in case you have already registered at Zello. From this very start screen, you may choose to automatically sign in when Zello starts and to launch the program during Windows startup. 

Then, you can add contacts to your list. In this respect, you can conduct a search based on the contact’s email address, and once you have found the person you are looking for, you can add a new contact. The next step is calling a contact, just choose one from the list and push a button. 
This application shares many of its advantages and disadvantages with the Zello network. First, the service and the application are free for personal use. You will be able to talk to your contacts saving money on phone calls and SMS. You can also create public or private chat channels. In addition, this application may be run from most smart phones. Nevertheless, this software does not allow communicating with users on other networks, so if you want to communicate with your friends, colleagues or family, you will have to ask them to create a Zello account, in case they do not have one.
